Thunderboltを取り付けたMacでOffice 2011のライセンス入力を要求される

知人がお悩みの模様だったので調べてみた。
Thunderbolt disk connection breaks Office 2011 licensing(Apple Support Communities)に情報発見。

This morning my LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt arrived and I plugged it in to my MBP.
When I opened Excel I was asked for the product licence key for Office 2011.

まったく同じような状況。
Thunderboltでディスクを取り付けExcelを起動するとライセンス入力を要求されたということ。
また、Office 2011/Thunderbolt LACIE Drive Activation Issue - Microsoft Answersでは、

At the following link you will see that Microsoft has apparently made their licensing dependent on hardware configurations. Very poor choice!

繰り返しに Office for Mac の 2011年アプリケーションを起動しようとすると、プロダクト キーを入力するように求められます
ハード構成に依存しているライセンス認証ってのはかなり不都合を生じる気がするなぁ・・・
